The story of BECERA began in 1984, in a small workshop in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture.
We started out crafting ceramics-based goods and toys, and as the times changed, we expanded our craft into music boxes, wooden products, and textiles — always finding a way to make what the moment called for.
The turning point came in 2002, when we launched our first original brand, BORN FREE.
At a time when pastel colours dominated the baby gift market, our tricolour palette of red and navy with bold border stripes stood out immediately.
From that moment, our journey as a dedicated maker of birth gifts and baby goods truly began.
Guided by the belief that everything that touches a baby should be made from materials you can truly trust, we continue to work alongside craftspeople across Japan — refusing to compromise at any stage, from material selection and sewing through to inspection and gift packaging.
Since then, we have carefully grown each new brand with its own distinct heart — Imabari towels, organic cotton, collections for girls, for boys, and for every baby. Today, BE CERA proudly offers eight original brands.
